WHAT IS A DOMESTIC VIOLENCE INJUNCTION VIOLATION OFFENSE?

Section 741.31 (4) (a), Florida Statutes, addresses circumstances where a domestic violence injunction is violated. To prove the crime of violation of a domestic violence injunction, the State must prove beyond a reasonable doubt that a temporary or final injunction for protection against domestic violence was issued against the Defendant and the Defendant willfully violated the injunction.
