FAILURE TO REGISTER AS A SEX OFFENDER

Once convicted as a “sexual offender”, a Defendant must register or report to various State agencies regarding the Defendant’s residence, vehicle information and employment. Section 943.0435, Florida Statutes, defines and sets out the various crimes where there is a failure to register by a sexual offender.

FAILURE TO REGISTER AS A SEX PREDATOR

Similar to registrations or reporting required with regard to a Defendant who has been labeled as a sexual offender, a Defendant labeled as a “sexual predator” must register or report to various state agencies regarding his/her residence, vehicles owned, and employment. Offenses that can occur where a person labeled as a “sexual predator” has failed to so register/report are addressed in Section 775.21, Florida Statutes.
